HOLY TO YAHVEH CHAPTER ONE-THE UNSEALING OF THE ANCIENT SCROLL
PART ONE
Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
(Ps 80:18)
Surely the righteous will give thanks to Thy name;
the upright will dwell in Thy presence.
(Ps 140:13)
Chapter 1
The Unsealing of the Ancient Scroll
Hear this . . . I proclaim to you new things from this time, Even hidden things which you have not known. . . . And before today you have not heard them, . . . (Isa 48:1-7)
In a very short time, . . . the [spiritually] deaf will hear the words of the scroll [the Holy Scriptures], and out of gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind will see. Once more the humble will rejoice . . . and the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. ". . . they will keep my name holy . . . they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel. Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction." (Isa 29:17-24 niv — emphasis added)
The prophet Daniel was shown visions concerning the future. YAHveh said to him:
". . . And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt. And those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase [seeking to understand the hidden truths of the Holy Scriptures]. . . . Many will be purged, purified and refined; but the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand." (Da 12:1‑4, 10)
The prophet Zechariah was shown ". . . a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits [30 feet long by 15 feet wide]" (Zec 5:2). This scroll contained the truths, commandments and righteous decrees of the Holy One of Israel as spoken through the words of His prophets and scribes. These words and visions had been sealed and hidden from man's understanding until the time of the end.
The Almighty had shown Zechariah the scroll opening as the seals were broken in order for its contained mysteries to be revealed in the last days. Through His mercy, the unsealed scroll would be magnified to such huge dimensions that no man could miss or plead ignorant of its contents.
The scroll, with writing on both sides, was to fly "over the face of the whole land" (Zec 5:3). The plumb line of truth in this scroll, YAHveh's Holy Scriptures, would become a standard which will judge all who transgress His righteous commandments and holy decrees.
At the close of this age, "gloom and darkness" will cover the earth; Isaiah prophesied that the scroll would be opened during these dark, end days (Isa 29:18-24). As the seals are broken, the words of the prophets will become as a bright light illuminating the path which Isaiah spoke of as a ". . . highway . . . called the Highway of Holiness . . ." (Isa 35:8).
The Almighty is calling out a redeemed remnant to make pilgrimage on this narrow path as they flee the world and the religious systems slated for destruction. He is ushering a chosen remnant to advance on this Highway of Holiness into the eternal refuge of His glorious presence.
The Holy One has decreed that the seals be broken on the scroll. He desires the spiritually blind to see Him in the fullness of all He is, and the spiritually deaf to have opened ears to hear him say, "This is the way, walk in it, . . ." (Isa 31:21). YAHveh is summoning and preparing a righteous remnant to ascend His holy mountain and worship Him in spirit and in truth.
As the scroll is unsealed and magnified and its truths enter our hearts, the humble will see how far mankind and religious systems have veered from YAHveh's plumb line of truth. There will be great mercy and promised blessings poured out upon a repentant and contrite remnant who see and heed the commands of the Almighty.
Divine mercy will soon become divine judgment. The Mighty One is going to judge all who transgress His righteous commandments regardless of what religious label, title, or badge they wear or profess.
The Eternal King will separate His chosen remnant from the world, its religious systems, and everything which has compromised His plumb line of immutable truths. He is separating and preparing a priesthood to be Holy to YAHveh.
